The 9/11 Time Discrepancy Oddity: Distress Signals Indicated Planes Crashed Minutes BEFORE Flights 11 and 175 Hit the WTC

Radio transmitters that are carried aboard aircraft and that are supposed to activate only in the event of the aircraft crashing went off in the New York area several minutes before the two planes hit the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. In events that, according to the official account of 9/11, should have been impossible, emergency locator transmitters (ELTs), which are intended to help locate crashed aircraft by broadcasting a distinctive signal, were activated over two minutes before American Airlines Flight 11 hit the north WTC tower and over four minutes before United Airlines Flight 175 hit the South Tower. And yet no ELTs went off at the times these planes hit the towers, when we might have expected them to have been activated...
United Airlines Flight 175 hit the South Tower of the World Trade Center at 9:03 a.m. and 11 seconds. [6] But, as with the first crash, an ELT was activated in the New York area several minutes before this plane hit the tower.At just before 8:59 a.m., over four minutes before the Flight 175 crash, the pilot of Flight 583, who had reported the ELT signal before the North Tower was struck, told David Bottiglia at the New York Center that he had noticed another ELT going off. The pilot said, "I hate to keep burdening you with this stuff, but now we're picking up another ELT on 21.5." [7]
As with the previous crash, although an ELT went off minutes before Flight 175 hit the South Tower, it seems that no ELT went off at the time of the crash itself... Paul Thumser, an operations supervisor at the FAA's New York Center on 9/11, has over 20 years' experience as an air traffic controller and is also an experienced airline pilot. He provided the 9/11 Commission with detailed information about ELTs. Thumser said the ELT in a Boeing 767--the type of plane that hit both of the WTC towers--cannot be activated by a pilot. Therefore, with a 767, "impact would be the only way to trigger one." Furthermore, the sensitivity setting of the ELT in a 767 "is not low," and so it should be impossible for one to be set off by the plane making a hard turn or a hard landing. Thumser therefore judged that "it would have to be a serious impact to set the ELT off." [10] Terry Biggio, the operations manager at the FAA's Boston Center, similarly told the 9/11 Commission: "An ELT is not a signal sent by pilot operators. It is clearly indicative of a crash." Interessant, was Shoestring da ausgraben hat. Offensichtlich ist dies einer der vielen Details, die der 9/11 Commission zum
Namen "Ommission Report" verholfen hat.

Vielleicht fällt es leichter, diese beiden merkwürdigen ELT-Signale in einen sinnvollen Kontext zu setzen, wenn man sich noch weitere Quellen anschaut, hier die NEADS Sache aus 2006:


Zuletzt gestatten wir uns einige kleinere Anmerkungen zum „Übungs-Szenario“.

Wie Frank Levi in diversen kenntnisreichen Artikeln dargelegt hat, ist die
„Radar Coverage“ von NEADS/NORAD nicht überall gleich gut. Tatsächlich ist
sie im Landesinneren teilweise lausig, und es gibt sogar zwei oder drei Areale,
die man getrost als „blinde Flecken“ bezeichnen kann.
American 11 meldete sich am Rand eines solchen „blinden Flecks“ ab, das
heißt, der Transponder der Maschine wurde hier ausgeschaltet.
American 77 und American 93 „verschwanden“ mitten in solchen Radar Holes.
Das erklärt vielleicht, weshalb die Maschinen sich zunächst 40 Minuten von
ihren Zielen entfernten, ehe sie die Transponder ausschalteten und/oder den
Kurs wechselten. Die Planer des bestens koordinierten Anschlags wussten offenbar
um die blinden Flecken und nutzten diese Kenntnis.

Zweitens waren die Planer im Verlauf der Übung allerbestens vernetzt, d. h. die
Kommunikation funktionierte weitgehend perfekt. Wir erinnern uns: um 8:47
Uhr,unmittelbar nachdem die auf New York zufliegende Maschine kurzzeitig
komplett vom Radar „verschwunden“ und ein Flugkörper in den ersten WTCTurm
eingeschlagen war, passierten etliche Dinge gleichzeitig, wie auf Knopfdruck.

a) United 175 schaltet den Transponder aus. Und wieder an, mit neuer
Kennung. Und wieder aus. Und wieder an, mit abermals neuer Kennung.
b) United 93 und United 175 befinden sich zu diesem Zeitpunkt an der
gleichen Position im Luftraum westlich von New York.
c) Weiter südlich meldet sich American Airlines 77 zum letzten Mal
per Funk. Nach 8:50 herrscht Stille.

All dies geschieht innerhalb von zwei Minuten nach dem ersten Einschlag.

One, a TWA flight, refuses to land in Pittsburgh and wants to fly on toward Washington. Another, a Midwest Express flight, disappears from radar over West Virginia. And three jets over the Atlantic Ocean are sending out distress signals, the Coast Guard reports.
Top managers at the FAA's command center fear the worst: Jets all over the country — including some over the oceans — are being hijacked. One after another.

Nebenbei:
Interessanter Weise wird hier auch die Absturzzeit von UA93 noch mit 10:06 angegeben. Erst die 911 Commission
hat die Zeit in 2004 auf 10:03 korrigiert. Diese 3 Minuten müssen also eine gewisse Relevanz haben.
